- NDE1998 and NDE2003 organised by the Chapter at Thiruvananthapuram.
- Received Best Chapter Award in the year 2002
The Thiruvananthapuram Chapter won the best chapter award for
the year 2002. The best chapter ward was presented to the
chapter on 5th December 2003 at a glittering function in
Chennai on the occasion of the inauguration of NDE-2002
seminar organized by ISNT. The award was presented by
the honorable Governor of Tamilnadu, Sri Ram Mohan Rao.
- National R&D Award in NDT for the year 2003 was received by
Dr. V.R. Ravindran of this Chapter.
- Digital Radiography Working Group India (DRWGI) was formed
at National Level by ISNT mainly due to the efforts of Thiruvananthapuram
Chapter. This Chapter is the leading centre for DRWGI activities.
